As I was working today I was sad to hear that Harry Kalas has died. He is the voice of the Phillies and will be missed. As he was getting ready for todays game in the booth he passed out. I too heard about the news as a text from Matt came across my Iphone that simply stated “Harry Kalas Died Today”. A sudden rush of sadness and lost rushed over me.. My girlfriend could not comprehend. I grew up in Philly, watching the phillies and listening to Harry were more american than apple pie and bbq’s. Now I will just have to wait and listen while they get someone who has no chance of holding a flame to his mantle try to announce the games.
